Mustard herring

A homemade mustard herring that is guaranteed to taste different from the ready-made one. A tasty element on the herring table!

Ingredients

1 package 5-minute herring
2 cups creme fraiche
1 dl mayonnaise
0.5 dl muscovado sugar
6 cl smoky whiskey
2 tablespoons coarse-grained Scanian mustard
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
a wedge of squeezed lemon
Salt & Pepper

Description:

  1. Cut the herring to the right size.
  2. Mix everything except the herring and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Mix in the herring.
  4. Let stand for at least one day before serving.
