Vietnamese chicken wok

This recipe is based on a chicken wok we ate at a ‘night market’ in Vietnam. Simple and good!

Ingredients

Chicken fillet, approx. 750 gr
Fresh grated ginger, about 2 tbsp
Lemongrass, 5-6 pcs
Piri piri or other chili, to taste
1 tbsp fish sauce
1 tbsp glutamate
1 tbsp palm sugar
1 yellow onion

Description:

  1. Peel, chop and grind the lemongrass.
  2. Grate the ginger and chop the chili.
  3. Shred the onion.
  4. Heat plenty of oil in a wok.
  5. Stir-fry/fry the chicken until it looks almost done.
  6. Add in the onion and mix around.
  7. In with all spices, one by one.
  8. Wok for a few minutes so that everything tastes good.

Serve with rice and Asian beer.
