Pasta marinara

A wonderfully delicious pasta sauce, which is unfortunately quite cumbersome to cook. But if you have the time, it’s worth it, you get the most out of the flavors!

4-6 servings

Ingredients

4 cloves of garlic

8 tbsp olive oil

2 kg plum tomatoes, peeled and pitted

15-20 basil leaves

Salt

Description:

  1. Put the tomatoes in simmering water, about 30 seconds per tomato. Fish out and let cool a little.
  2. Pull off the tomato peel.
  3. Coarsely chop and fillet the tomatoes.
  4. Fry the garlic, lightly crushed, in the olive oil, until golden. About 4 minutes.
  5. Add the tomatoes and add a little salt. Bring to a boil and simmer for at least 20 minutes. Reduce to the right consistency.
  6. Shred and mix in the basil.
  7. Cook pasta in the tomato water.
  8. Mix the pasta into the sauce.

Pairs with:

A little garlic bread on the side, red Italian wine in the glass. And possibly burrata as a supplement, as in the picture here.
