This is a fast food version of a Chicken Chow Mein recipe, which is very quick to prepare, especially if the various ingredients are pre-prepared – about 10 minutes of cooking time. Very tasty too!

Ingredients
Oil for wok
800 g chicken fillet
1 yellow onion
0.5 tbsp chicken powder (from instant noodles)
0.5 tbsp salt
1 tbsp grated ginger, preferably from a can
1 can of bean sprouts
250 g egg noodles, or 4 packets of instant noodles
Chinese soy
Light soy
White pepper
Sesame oil
Description:
- The chicken can be prepared by cooking for a few minutes, and then shredded and cooled and saved. A voluntary step before it is to let it marinate in bicarbonate for 30 minutes.
- Split the onion and measure all the spices.
- Cook the noodles, and rinse off cold.
- Heat oil in the wok.
- Add the onion and fry for 30 seconds.
- Add the chicken and fry for 1 minute.
- Pour in half of the salt and chicken powder and stir.
- Pour in the ginger and stir.
- Pour in (the drained) bean sprouts and mix around.
- Pour in the noodles and mix around.
- Pour over Chinese soy and mix around. It should get a light brown color shade in this step.
- Pour over light soy and white pepper and mix around.
- Pour over sesame oil and mix around.
Fits to:
Water or beer is the best.
